Ivan Chermayeff is one of the most illustrious American graphic designers. An illustrator and an artist as well, he is best known for his work in graphic design and corporate identity, having created such iconic logos as The Smithsonian, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Showtime, NBC and PBS. His professional accolades parallel his artistic output, both in their number and quality. Throughout his career he has designed hundreds of posters.
